This Studio 1 Productions Lanc Adapter Cable is for Sony camcorders to adapt from the 10pin "D" connector to a standard 2.5mm jack so you can use your Lanc controller with you newer Sony camcorder. This is a Heavy Duty cable that is 8 Inches long with a 2.5mm jack that offers a tight fit. Please check your video camera to make sure you have the 10pin "D" connector. Some older camcorders simply used the 2.5mm jack. NOTE: This cable will not work with the Sony EX1, EX1R or EX3. The 10pin "D" connector on these Pro Video cameras does not offer Lanc control. NOTE: Sony 2013 consumer camcorders have a new style connector, called a multiport connector. If you camcorder has this, then you will need an additional cable from Sony.
